I don’t know about you,

but

I love this time of year.

I must confess that Halloween has never been a favorite.

I resonate much more with the Harvest,

(must be the Demeter in me)

and

The Chinese Moon Festival.

  1. Lovely, luminous post, Susan – Harvest time is my romantic – slightly melancholy happy time. Love the darkling days and smoky air.

    Thank you Dorothy.
Something about the light compelled the post.
    I understand the melancholia.
As the light fades, I want it glowing inside.
I think this is our last weekend of “Indian Summer” here in far N. CA
Time for candles, and fires in the wood stove…
(am making rosemary olive oil bread in the crockpot {!} today)

  3. Jana Botkin says:

    Nice photos, Susan!

  4. susan says:

Thank you, J. I find the palette and patinas of Autumn irresistible.
